Play Soccer Go to Hell

In this hilarious masterpiece BillyBobNeck explains why Soccer is America's surest path to socialism :)

This in turn reminded me of John Cleese's hilarious take on American football :) Cudos to Grisha for sharing!

P.S. And for those who still thinks this is real, here is a quote from NC Comedy Arts Festival:
In 2004, Paul Day got asked to take part in a comedy night to raise funds for John Kerry's presidential bid. Rather than be just another comic telling "Bush is stupid" jokes, he came up with the character of Billy Bob Neck, Billy Bob is bleeding edge satire on those in the Christian Conservative Movement who believe that "George Bush is the greatest president since Winston Churchill" and that President Obama wants to personally kill your grandmother...

North Korea beats Brazil

You wouldn't believe it, but this is an actual footage from the news broadcast on North Korean State Television, recorded from a TV set in Pyongyang 36 hours after the game finished... Accordingly to the broadcast North Korea beats Brazil 1-0! In reality, Brazil won 2-1, but North Korea surely claimed the victory B-)

This reminded me of an anecdote in which the General Secretary of the USSR and President of the USA compete in running. The US president wins, but the news in the Soviet Union say: "Our General Secretary came second, but the US president came one before last" :-)

A strange relationship between dogs and bears

Polar bears are the largest living land carnivores and are very aggressive. Nevertheless, they seem to have develop a deep relationship with the dogs in the Arctic.

Do It Anyway

Found this really great quote on the wall of someone i don't even know, who added me on Facebook anyway :)

Do It Anyway

  • People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
  • If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
  • If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
  • If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
  • What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
  • If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
  • The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
  • Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
  • In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.
--Mother Teresa

These verses reportedly were written on the wall of Mother Teresa's home for children in Calcutta, India, and are widely attributed to her. They seem to be based on a composition originally by Kent Keith, but much of the second half has been re-written in a more spiritual way:

The Paradoxical Commandments

  • People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered. Love them anyway.
  • If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives. Do good anyway.
  • If you are successful, you win false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway.
  • The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.
  • Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable. Be honest and frank anyway.
  • The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds. Think big anyway.
  • People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs. Fight for a few underdogs anyway.
  • What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight. Build anyway.
  • People really need help but may attack you if you do help them. Help people anyway.
  • Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway.
